Adding Scatter and buggering up tank roles and farming.
Adding loot scale, buggering up solo farms of those who just wanted to sell crap not ectos.
Making EOTN badly due to scrapping the first GOOD IDEA and restarting then rushing because you wanted to start on GW2 ASAP.
Adding costumes rather than armour to be worked for ingame.
Not giving us 6th year minipets.

Thanks for making one of the most enduring games I have ever played. I may take long breaks, but I just can't quit you. If GW2 is even half as enduring, it will be a huge success.

This game has indeed changed my life in very real ways. From the time all those years ago my parents gave me the game and said, 'hey, think you might like this - it's fun' (they still play too)...to meeting the wonderful woman (who is now my wife) in Ascalon, to seeing my daughter laughing at the "little bunny guys" (asura) to seeing her play it now...

I love this game, still enjoy it after all these years. And though I'll never agree with some of the changes that have been made, or need to be made and aren't...its still the best damn video game ever created by anyone, period.

You and Valve are my favorite developers.

But there's a crucial difference.

Games like Half Life or Portal take a few hours to complete, and a few more to get all achievements.
It took me 5 years to do everything there's to do in GW1, and new stuff comes now and then.

Hm... if they joined forces...
GW hats in TF2...
Well... let's keep them separate for now...

It's been a little over five years for me, and I regret not finding GW earlier. I have never spent so much time with a game nor received so much enjoyment. That is not only due to the great game but to the great company that made it and keeps it new.

Thanks ArenaNet for Guild Wars. I also want to thank you for not taking an entire computer away from me with monthly fees. Adding up six years of monthly fees for WoW at $14.99 a month comes to $1079.28. Even after paying a few hundred for costumes, storage, unlocks and character slots I still saved more than $700!
